La ligne éditoriale
En fondant les éditions Anticipolis, nous faisons un double pari :
- Créer une maison d'édition réellement européenne de par sa volonté de publier des ouvrages qui s'adressent directement à un public européen et qui sont donc dès l'origine conçus pour être publiés en au moins trois ou quatre langues.
- Offrir au public européen des ouvrages qui tentent de décrypter l'avenir, en particulier l'avenir commun de notre continent, afin d'aider citoyens et dirigeants à mieux définir leur choix, leurs objectifs, leurs espoirs.
Les expressions littéraires que retiendra Anticipolis seront multiples car l'Europe est diverse et l'avenir multiforme. Mais, elles auront en commun d'exprimer une conviction qui est au cœur de notre démarche. « Désormais l'avenir détermine le présent » comme le proclame notre devise. En effet, notre rapport à l'avenir s'est fondamentalement modifié en l'espace d'une cinquantaine d'années. Notre époque est probablement la première qui souligne cette réalité : L'avenir influe désormais autant que le passé sur le présent de nos sociétés. En effet, jusqu'au milieu du XX° siècle, l'Humanité a essentiellement déterminé son action présente en fonction des habitudes, des traditions, des actions passées. Mais depuis quelques décennies, c'est notre anticipation des prochains modèles en préparation ou des exigences en matière de norme ou d'évolution du climat qui détermine nos choix. C'est dorénavant demain qui nous dicte aujourd'hui.
L'histoire s'écrit dorénavant dans le futur autant que dans le passé. Nos décisions présentes sont, plus que jamais, le résultat de nos expériences comme de nos anticipations. Pourtant aujourd'hui dans le monde, citoyens et élites ne sont pas du tout formés à cette nouvelle configuration de l'Histoire. Nulle part on ne leur apprend à anticiper pour gouverner alors que ce qui était une sage recommandation pour les dirigeants habiles est devenu un impératif vital pour l'humanité dans son ensemble. Modestement, par des essais, des manuels, des romans, etc. Anticipolis va tenter d'apporter sa pierre à ce qui nous paraît être une révolution intellectuelle majeure : Apprendre à intégrer l'avenir dans la construction du présent !
